The Barbican

The Barbican Centre

“Today, the Barbican must rank as the world’s top arts centre…“
Richard Morrison, The Times

The Barbican’s commitment to artistic excellence is encapsulated through our involvement with London 2012. Globally recognized cultural icons such as the New York Philharmonic, Bauhaus, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Juliette Binoche, Cate Blanchett, Rem Koolhaas and many more will come together here to present the most diverse and captivating arts programme in London.

Sponsorship of the Barbican delivers a creative, fun and highly visible opportunity to promote your brand, amaze key clients, reach new audiences and build unique experiences for your target market - while supporting the arts and our extensive community engagement initiatives.

To find out more and get involved contact Dan Maggs, Corporate Development Manager, on 0207 382 2312 or at dan.maggs@barbican.org.uk

As well as being Europe’s largest arts centre, the Barbican is a multi award-winning conference venue, with exceptional spaces to accommodate events ranging from 15 to 2000 delegates. Our team has experience in arranging intimate dinners on our theatre stage, creating successful AGMs for FTSE 100 companies and everything in between.

farrer
Farrer & Co

Farrer & Co has a wealth of experience advising both rights holders (such as national sports governing bodies, leading charities and institutions from the cultural sector) and major brands on all the legal aspects of sponsorship. We advise clients during the pre-contractual negotiations, on the terms of the contract and how best to protect and exploit the sponsored property and the sponsorship assets. Having advised those seeking sponsorship and those in a position to offer it we have the advantage of perspective from both sides of a sponsorship partnership.

More generally we advise on the full range of brand management issues including: trade mark portfolio management; brand licensing arrangements (notably across food and drink, clothing and household product ranges which are manufactured under licence from the brand owner); brand exploitation whether by sponsorship arrangements, commercial joint ventures and tie-ins, corporate acquisitions or disposals, advertising or promotional marketing activities; and brand protection and enforcement, such as trade mark infringement proceedings, actions for passing-off and cases involving breaches of confidentiality. We also advise on reputation management, working closely with the press and PR agencies.
