Think!Sponsorship Ltd is an organisation that delivers sponsorship intelligence to the UK sponsorship marketplace through a wide range of products and services used by sponsors, sponsorship agencies & sponsorship seekers to help them achieve their sponsorship activation goals across the sports, arts, charity, entertainment, broadcast, local council, music & media sectors.

We are best known for our flagship conference - Think!Sponsorship, which is hosted twice a year (in Spring and Autumn) and has been widely acclaimed as the trade meeting ground for sponsorship in the UK. The conference has been hosted 16 times and our last event was held on the 11th November at the Barbican Centre, London.

Think!Sponsorship Ltd was created by Communicate Sport in 2002 as a forward-thinking communications agency that services the sponsorship sector and those businesses operating within it to help them achieve their commercial goals by delivering effective and clear communications. We offer a full range of communication services - from publishing, marketing, design and sales, through to implementing and executing conferences or events. 
 

Six years ago, Communicate Sport reviewed the sponsorship market and realised that for those organisations seeking sponsorship revenues, as well as those companies seeking to maximise the value of their sponsorship agreements, there was a lack of affordable, relevant information. It was then that it was launched Think!Sponsorship - a one day conference for the UK Sponsorship industry. The conference is held twice a year, in Spring & Autumn, and is the biggest event of its type in the UK.
The conference, its brand, its content and its success in the marketplace are all attributable to Communicate Sport. The event was launched into a market saturated with high-cost research and information, and has been successful based on its accessibility to all, and the high-quality information that is delivered through a carefully selected source of speakers.

Communicate Sport also owned and run a membership organisation for the sponsorship industry called The Meeting Room - developed to provide news, seminars, education, networking and career opportunities to the UK sponsorship industry.

Since 2003 Communicate Sport was in a joint venture with leading research company, Sports Marketing Surveys (SMS) to publish, market and sell subscriptions of the service The World Sponsorship Monitor, a foremost research tool that services the global sponsorship industry by providing information about the sponsorship deals being negotiated worldwide.

In 2007 Communicate Sport launched Find!Sponsorship, the UK's most comprehensive guide to properties seeking sponsorship. This was distributed free to over 2,000 brands with an interest in using sponsorship as a marketing medium until 2009. Communicate Sport recognised the growing needs of the sponsorship sector and made this resource available online at www.findsponsorship.co.uk

In 2009 Communicate Sport acquired Sponsorship News, the leading source of information, insight, analysis and news relating to the sponsorship sector. It had been in existence for over 28 years and changed ownership for the first time in May 2009. Since then, as a result of much analysis of the industry, a number of focus groups that identified what role a trade journal should play, Platform was born.

The new name for the publication mimicked a change of direction in terms of its reporting style. The magazine now focuses on trends, analysis, opportunities and developments across the whole sector, with the accompanying news feeds keeping subscribers up-to-date with deals as they break.


Since 2011 all the products metioned above are owned by Think!Sponsorship Ltd founded and directly managed by Catherine Hawkins and her team.
